"Shoulder Tap" Operation Targets Alcohol Sales to Minors


 

Earlier this month, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) worked with police agencies throughout the state to target people who buy alcohol for people less than 21 years of age. This first of its kind effort - conducted March 16 - involved over 90 local agencies and resulted in 430 arrests, including 11 in the city of Sacramento.
